From the very first phone call, to a slightly overwhelmed bride-to-be Ciarra, we absolutely fell in love with her and Justin’s vision for a beautifully intimate destination wedding in the winter warmth of the Whitsundays.
After beginning to plan their larger wedding closer to home, Ciarra and Justin realised that their special day should really be all about just them, celebrating their love for each other and taking the next step in their family life together (with their gorgeous son by their side!) so they packed it in with the big wedding planning, jumped in their cars, and drove up for the stunning experience of a Whitsundays wedding with their closest family and loved ones by their side to celebrate with them. Keeping it small and intimate does not mean it was without some epic glamour though – that dress, seriously WOW!
Tell us about the proposal.
Justin proposed to me (Ciarra) at my 21st birthday party in front of 80 people, it was on of the sweetest things I have ever seen or experienced!
Why did you choose Airlie Beach for your destination wedding?
It has always been a dream for us to come to the Whitsundays for the last 10 years of our relationship…
The Whitsundays just seemed perfect… And it was!
I created my own bouquet to keep. We also found the jars and vases for our sand ceremony, we took some sand off Boathaven Beach so that we always have a little part of Airlie Beach with us!
What gifts did you give your guests?
We gave our guests copies of our professional photos as gifts once we got home from the Whitsundays
What did you do for your honeymoon?
We had our honeymoon as a familymoon whilst in Airlie Beach. We went for a cruise through the islands and to Whitehaven Beach, one of the most magical places on earth, it is so beautiful!
What was the funniest moment from the day?
When our son walked up the aisle with his little DIY sign saying “Daddy here comes Mummy” upside down!
What was the most special memory from the day?
Being with our whole family in a magical place and time!
What advice would you give other brides to be?
Slow down, take it all in and enjoy EVERY single second, the day comes and goes so fast! It was one of the best days of my life and I would relive every moment again if I could, it was so magical!
Don’t stress the little things, because at the end of the day, your day will be perfect!
Special Thanks to……
To Roxy, she is absolutely amazing at what she does, from the very first phone call I made to her she was fabulous and made everything run so smoothly and pointed us in the right direction that best suited us, with Annie our celebrant and with Deb our photographer. I recommend these girls every chance I get!
